We did no specials benchmark to compare it to other Flash server.
But python is not slower than Java ... Then it depends on the implementation. If anyone wants to compare with Oregano, flashcom, ... they are welcome :)

Non-blocking, Palabre works as asynchronous, but anyway it does not send requests to Flash, it only sends Data (mostly asked by the source Flash client or by another FLash client)

Quite stable ?
We and other people are using it on production environnement with no problems as far as i know. If the installation is not really straight forward and has some problems on some platforms (mac os x mostly ...) once installed i've not seen it crash. It will only depends on the number of conencted clients and your hardware/bandwidth
