 Can't Connect after a few days - 2007/01/17 03:02 Thanks for a great server. I have it working nicely.. but after some time (a couple of days) it does not connect anymore. When I ask for a "palabre status" it tells me that it's running.. and the log shows no errors either.. a restart fixes it.. but any ideas why it seems to stop responding?

In the running processes is palabre still here ?

ex. what returns the command :

# ps fax | grep -i palabre

is palabre running as daemon with a log file specified ?

 Re:Can't Connect after a few days - 2007/02/12 02:03 Do you use the database feature? The problem is that the server has problems with "ghost users". When you close your inet-connection, or in some cases when you close your browser window, the server doesn't logout your nickname correct and when you enter the chat again, the server doesn't let you in, because your nickname is already there.

The problem is that the server knows the IP at this moment, but don't know your nickname. In the errorlog there is something like a logout message, but without a name and it doesn't logout successfull.

When you restart the server, the problem is solved, yes. That's the reason why I don't use palabre now.
